02/27/2009 - The RAC Blackout period will be extended since the MAC transition date has been moved from May 1, 2009 to June 1, 2009.

PRG Shultz will perform the Part A/B audits in Jurisdiction 14. The letters will come from PRG, but they will be on DCS letterhead.

The providers serviced by WPS would be considered available for RAC review beginning March 1st. If the RAC decides to review the WPS claims, CMS would reach out to those providers to conduct provider outreach.

In addition, provider outreach will be done if the RAC decides to review Part B claims in J14.

If providers have an inpatient claim that the RAC deems not medically necessary for an inpatient level of service, providers can re-bill for Inpatient Part B services. There are no exceptions to the rules in the national programs.
